Datuk Mohd Noor Amin Bin Mohd Noor Khan - Chairman

Datuk Mohd. Noor Amin, is the Chairman and substantial shareholder of Ascendsys Sdn. Bhd. He holds a Masters in Commercial & Corporate Law from King's College London and in 1993 was admitted as a Barrister of the English and Welsh Bar at Gray's Inn. In 1994, Amin joined Zaid Ibrahim & Co., one of the country's largest commercial law firms. He was responsible for the establishment of Zaid Ibrahim & Co's offshore practice in Labuan. During his tenure as the firm's Labuan Resident Lawyer, Amin was appointed a Trust Officer by the Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority. In 1996, Amin was also selected to be a member of the official Malaysian Government delegation to the Middle East to promote Labuan as an Offshore Financial centre.

In 1998, Amin left to establish his own legal practice under the name of Amin, Yap & Co. In the arena of foreign relations, Amin was appointed as the Secretary-General of the Washington-based Malaysia-US Friendship Council - a body established by leading Malaysian companies for the purpose of promoting goodwill and better relations between the two countries.

Dato’ Daljeet Singh a/l Kapur Singh – Director
Dato’ Daljeet graduated with a Diploma in Computer Studies from International Computers Training Services, Beaumont, England,United Kingdom. 

Dato’ Daljet has more than 32 years’ experience in the IT industry. He started his career as a Computer Programmer with Stantek (M) Sdn Bhd in in 1983 after he obtained his NCC/CGLI 746 Certificate in Computer Programming. In 1986 he joined Housecoff Institute as a Lecturer of Computer Studies and Programming. He later joined Kental Sdn Bhd as a Customer Support Executive. He then further his career by joining Advance Personal Computers Sdn Bhd in 1989 as a Manager and was promoted to General Manager in March 1990. 

Dato’ Daljeet is one of the pioneers of Ascendsys Sdn Bhd (ASB) when he joined the company as a Managing Partner in June 1993. He was responsible for the operations and development of the Company.

Datuk Mohamed Shihab bin Dato' Kunhi Mohamed – Chief Executive Officer

Datuk Mohamed Shihab Bin Dato' Kunhi Mohamed, is the Chief Executive Officer of Ascendsys Sdn Bhd (ASB). He also sits on the Board of Directors of ASB and is responsible for business strategy and operations of the Company.

He holds a Higher National Diploma in Computer Science (ICL/Straffodshire, UK). Datuk Mohamed Shihab has been in the IT Industry for the past 18 years and has had extensive experience in the management of various organizations and development of major Customers. He initially joined Renong Information System (formerly known as Dataware Sdn Bhd) as a Business Analyst and thereafter, joined the Sales Department as an Assistant Account Manager.

In 1990, he was offered a position as an Accounts Manager in International Computers (M) Sdn Bhd - ICL (a British Multinational company now known as Fujitsu Computers Malaysia) and worked his way up to Sales Manager and then to Sales Director for ICL Malaysia.

In 1998, Datuk Mohamed Shihab joined Storagetek Malaysia (an American Multinational company), as the Country Manager for Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei. Shihab set up operations in Malaysia and expanded the business considerably before he joined Unibyte System (now known as ASB) in January 2001 as the Chief Executive Officer. He has been very instrumental in the growth of the revenue and profitability of the company.

 

Suryani Binti Md Hanipah – Deputy CEO

Suryani Md Hanipah is currently the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Ascendsys Sdn Bhd. She holds a Master of Electronic Business from University of Ballarat, Melbourne, Australia and has vast experience in Corporate Management and ICT industry.

She has served in various capacities within the fraternity with prominent successes as an Executive Director for Dell appointed Service Provider (Public Sector, Malaysia) and during her tenure in Microsoft, Suryani provided the stewardship in Public Sector’s engagement as the Government Program Director.

She was the recipient of the prestigious award “US-ASEAN Rising Star” from the US-ASEAN Business Council, as an outstanding young individual with the potentials to be vital figure in the future of the US-ASEAN business relationship.

Suryani has extensive regional and global networking particularly in ICT competencies partnering with fraternity from USA, UK, Romania, Singapore and India.
